Undoubtedly our trolling friend CainenAble, being (in his words) a ?born again? conservative, evangelical and homophobic Christian, probably loves to quote the KJV, the King James Version?often (wrongly) called the Authorised Version.

Well this very monarch, the posting I referred to above reminds us, who commissioned this Bible was himself gay?a known homosexual!? ? lmao? As Walter Raleigh was reported to have said: ?After King Elizabeth (I) we have Queen James.?

Unfortunately, CainenAble, it is quite clear you have never studied theology or phiosophy, nor have you studied your Bible, nor the context in which is written.

Take some time out, learn Hebrew, learn Greek, study theology, learn about love, become mature, and learn to enjoy the physical as well as the spiritual life that God has given us.  Then, and only then, come back as a fully integrated whole person, without prejudged views and without whatever baggage you are carrying around.  You may still disagree with what people are doing here, that is fully your privilege and right, but perhaps you will then have the wisdom not to condemn what you do not know, and the background knowledge and experience to understand the wide variety that is humanity.  And perhaps you will even enjoy sensuality and sexuality without all the guilt trip.  :rolleyes:

In my reading of record of Jesus in the Gospels it is quite clear that Jesus went outside the bounds of what was considered normal and acceptable in his culture and time. ?In the Synoptic Gospel records he mixed with tax-collectors, who were tainted by both the ?sin? of ususry and also the sin of association with and working for the Goyim?the Roamn authorities, he mixed with them intimately, sharing meals them, being entertained by them. ?Jesus also mixed with prostitutes, and accepted one washing his feet in public in a Pharisee?s house (in Luke). ?He also commended the heretic Samaritans, condemned outright by the pious Jews. ?In fact the good Samaritan could not even be named as such, because the word was so appallingly to say, the man in response to Jesus? questions just said the one who helped him.

Roman Catholics are Christians, Orthodox are Christians, Episcopalians are Christians, anyone who calls her or himself can be a Christian, too. ?But the distinguishing mark of all true Christians is that like Jesus they show love and not hate, they accept and do not condemn.
