No idea Kate, I didnt write that post 😛 …. but actually they do – as Anna said there is a loophole in the law that allows anyone to get your private details!  Very stupid and dangerous!

To be honest I have never ever needed one.

My buyers who wish to pay by cheque or cash have been more than happy to send payment direct to my bank (or pop into their local branch) along with a printout of my account details.  Ive been doing this for over 2 years now and works a treat.

Be careful what you write and try and be diplomatic.  If any buyer has a problem with a purchase, please contact the seller first and try and sort something out before launching in here and posting thoughts and opinions which may not be entirely justified.

I think the more you expose yourself generally (I mean as a seller) it doesnt really matter if you auction or have your own site. 

Just by posting here, perhaps joining panty trust too is already a really good step to get noticed.

I have never run auctions (apart from on my own site) but I would think that is a good start to get noticed when you are new, and then build a site at your own leisure.

Your Panty Trust page could be your main personal page until you can get a proper website up and running of your own.

As for competition, don’t worry about other sellers, just concentrate on you. Just do it  B)

woo hooooooo! WELL DONE EBARE!  You’ve accomplished something only the rest of us could only dream of.  I believe there were a few people trying to do this (me included) but kept having bank doors shut in our faces, so I really do take my hat off to you and wish you all the success in the world. 

Just to clear up about bank transfers.  You do not actually need to give your name.

For someone to pay me via bank transfer (uk only) I only have to give them my sort code and account number, nothing else.

The buyer then has two references he can enter (one reference that will appear on my bank statement, and one reference that will appear on his bank statement).

This is working fabulously for me and both me and the seller can remain anonymous – the fact that the buyer can write what he wants to be shown his statement is an added bonus.

I have gotten used to accepting Amazon.co.uk gift certificates from my overseas buyers but, Forepay, I feel, will be a much better option for those outside the UK to be able to pay properly. 

I hope that more US people will show an interest and then Forepay (super name hehehe) will be international, so its up to you guys over the pond to show the interest  B)

Just because a payment processor accepts credit cards doesnt mean they are good.

Many sellers and buyers have had problems with Alert Pay. If you type in the search box “Alert Pay” you will see some threads of discussion.

Personally I wouldnt touch them and I certainly would never expect my clients to sign up to them, knowing Alert Pay’s past history. Not everyone encounters problems but I am personally not willing to take the risk.

It is strange though, I thought I wouldnt be able to live without a payment processor but Online Banking is so easy in Europe nowadays that this is a far better way to send and receive money as there are no charges… and I have total control over all my orders. 🙂

Well Kelly looks like you were one of the few lucky ones 🙂 .. however, I personally don’t think its worth taking the risk in using any kind of online payment processor that clearly states they do not support adult related sites.

There are other ways and I do hear that we all may be blessed with a new payment processor shortly which eBare are currently working on 🙂
