Bank Transfers … there is no information that you give out which would not appear on a personal cheque. Apart from knowing your surname there is not much anyone can do.  The data protection act is very hot in the UK and before my bank will even answer a silly question they ask all sorts of verification questions first to prove who you are.

Cash in the mail .. hmmmm … once bitten twice shy. When I first started up I did this once and the money never arrived.  The client was pissed thinking I was lieing and I was pissed at the client for thinking he never sent it.

Just be careful – I personally would never ever take that risk again – but it works well for many.

The main reason most of us girls cannot take online money payments is because no damn processor will take us.  We are classed as adult sites and almost all of them do not wish to have our business. 

Alot of girls have either had to close down (however I believe that the sites in the directory should be running as Leatherz and me check them regularly), or we are forced to take other forms of payment such as gift certificates from Amazon or the like, or use alternative methods such as a Bank Transfer or Online Banking (which is actually very fast, safe and easy – especially in the UK).

The best thing to do is if you personally contact the sellers you like and get to know them a little bit.  It is very hard to make a judgement call on how they accept payment when no decent payment processor will back us.

I am personally booked solid with orders until end of April but if you don’t mind waiting I would be more than happy to prepare a pair of panties for you full of my sensual pussy aroma.  😉

Andie and PK .. dont worry. Most people don’t even know who she is and have never even heard of her – I havent seen her site in the search engines at all ..I think with Panty Hogs reputation and such, I wouldnt worry, however it is DAMN annoying and upsetting none-the-less.

Google hates any type of copying anyway so her site will have many penalties against it.

These copy cats only harm themselves – especially when they take ideas from established sites!  They just become the clowns of the industry as they end up getting ridiculed when people visit them.

May I just add here that those few who decide to type in capital letters means that you are shouting.  Even if your post was intended to be non-judgemental nor over opinionated, the moment the post appears in all caps really can be insulting, which will get any body’s back up immediately and any negative comments, no matter how small, will be taken more personally than a post written normally. (And its bloody hard to read too).

As you say PK everyone is entitled to their own opinions and they should expect opinions back when things are said in the forum which many do not find ethical.

I am sorry that someone has left but I feel it was over something very silly indeed and I was hoping that we could have a proper adult discussion about the topic.

Makes me think that these kinds of people are in fact very immature and shouldn’t really be here in the first place! So, if you are under age – go away and come back when your older – its not a kindergarten here.

Im no guru to payment options though Anna.  I did receive some quotes from the Legendary WorldPay and a couple of others but their fees were just ridiculous.  To be honest with you I never ever wish my panty selling to turn into a big business, which it would have to become just to cover the fees .. and realistically, you cannot cover those sorts of fees by just selling panties unless you were a fake.

The only other alternative would be to ask your bank for a Merchant Account.  I did try that avenue too but to pay for the account and to accept credit cards was equally ridiculous in fees, besides the minute you mention the scary word “adult” they kind of run and hide!!

I am personally doing well with accepting cheques and bank transfers and online banking at the moment and its working surprisingly good.  For the oversees orders I just point them to my wish list or ask for a gift voucher.

However, if you are only just starting up you have to decide whether the money is more important for you in the early days or you don’t mind receiving gifts in return for international orders.  I know when I started up I could bearly afford to pay my hosting so I wasnt able to accept gifts instead of payments at that time.  A few panty girls in the UK only accept UK orders, which works well for them and they don’t need to take on the worry about international payments.

Im sure when a few more online payment options come into play for the adult industry it will start the ball rolling once again for an easier solution to the current problem we are currently all battling with.

But until then we just have to grin and bear it (sleep with a coathanger in your mouth for that perfect smile) hehee

As for a PO Box, I personally don’t have one. You could ask the customer to just send the cheque to Abbeys Main office in London with a note of all your account details.  That works for me – I live in Germany and if guys are going to post something to your PO Box anyway, they might as well send it direct to your bank instead!
