I have to agree that you must have a photo of the item you are selling.  It does help if you model them too when you are starting up.

However, after years of selling and taking pictures, you will find that this will be your full time job of just taking pictures of yourself.

I take photos every day for clients of me wearing their items, so I don’t now need to also take more photos of me wearing the panty beforehand to put up on my site and then its sold within a few days, and then I have to take more pics, then its sold, then more pics, then its sold.  It is a ALOT of work, which most new sellers and buyers just do not understand.

If you are new and not too busy then I have to agree that photos of yourself modelling the panties is the best way to go, but having a pic of the panties you are selling, even if you dont model them for your site, is an absolute must.

As you become established you might find that you don’t need to spend hours taking endless photos of yourself modelling them, especially when they will sell anyway – plus you will probably be taking more photos of yourself in them for the buyer.

Get yourself a little digital camera Kacie 🙂

I had a good look at Alert Pay and it looks perfect BUT only if you live in the USA or Canada as they seem to only let you withdraw your money to these countries.

So UK and other countries, hold your horses before signing up!

Also, you have to sign up with the Secured Account if you run an adult business and their rates are quite high: Receive Fee: 3.9% + $0.59 per transaction.

Also I feel their fee of $25.00 for a Bank Wire to your bank is very steep, but they do offer a check or direct deposit.

I will contact them and find out if there are any other methods available for withdrawing outside US and Canada .. they seem to have conveniently missed this out in their FAQs lol

Jess is totally right Wahtuska, and this issue has already been discussed by everyone when asseater first came on the forum with his unusual avatar.

..Krooze thats not a bad idea – but we do already have a golden panty site thread where buyers can leave rave reviews about their favourite seller .. maybe the choice of words needs to be changed to say “buyer’s experiences” or something?  I don’t know… but it needs to be something where no-one can be victimised whether its a buyer, seller or even a moderator!

I do agree that having your own hosted site outweighs having a free hosted site, however, it does generally boil down to the individual running the site in the first place!

Word gets around and if you are good and take care of your clients they will come back no matter where you host – I mean look at dark haired karen – she runs her successful site from her blogger and its fantastic – I see it appear on page 1 or 2 of Google all the time!

Free hosting sites are perfect if you are just starting up and not sure if you will enjoy it or not, or simply just to practise your html before paying out for a secure decent hosting and then it going to waste because you cant handle it.? Free Hosted sites can also be good to run in conjunction with your auctions – you can have more pictures and more info about you for free!!

Jess – you started out on a free site too, just as I did.? Once you get your confidence running one of those then its time to move onwards and upwards 🙂

Also Jules – if you decide to set up a proper site, there are many people here who will help you – its a scary thing to do it alone but just shout and me and I am sure others will be more than happy to give you a hand. 🙂

Free hosted sites can be great to start out on before you want to make the big leap – we all have to start somewhere!

And being on Panty Hog and even posting in this forum is a sure way for buyers to get to know you on a more personal level, no matter where you have your site 🙂

of course no-one can stereotype a rip off/panty farm site, whether its a free hosted site or a long running proper site – they all exist.? The only people that really know are the buyers. So to label all free hosted sites as rip offs is just very silly!

Dark Haired Karen runs her great little panty site successfully from her blogger and a few other girls also run their sites from geocities (or the like) or from other free hosting sites like yourself – even I started with a geocities one and Im certainly not a fake.

Basically it doesnt matter where you host your site in my opinion – if you are good and take care of your clients, they wont mind either and will come back for more!!!

Maybe post your question in another area of the forum and ask the buyers their opinion?

Hi Donna, your post actually made me smile because you havent ruffled any feathers at all and I believe you have actually read my post wrong.

I dont side with buyers or sellers – I am totally neutral, and if you read my post properly you will see that I have actually addressed buyers to try and sort out any problems with sellers before even thinking of posting here.

Also, there ARE many rip off sites out there Donna, which I am sure you are also aware of and if someone did not receive what they paid for, and are being ignored by a seller then they are damn well within their rights to say it and warn others!

Perhaps I will ask Admin to remove me from moderating this Rip Off board as the last thing I want to do is cause any bad feelings in sellers believing that I am taking sides, which simply isnt true.

As for your other thread concerning Angelina, I have not been around lately as my mother almost died last week and to be honest with you, as I am not the only moderator on this board I felt that I wouldnt be missed for a week or so.  But obviously its all my fault that I didnt do something about the latest post concerning Angelina!??

I am certainly NOT God, and I dont pretend to be either, but if a buyer or a seller has a very bad experience then why not mention it. I do everything in my power to keep my clients happy and to be honest thats how it should be!

But maybe the rip off thread should go altogether – it just seems to be causing a great deal of problems for some?!!

Donna – as for still being friends .. of course 🙂 … I don’t have a problem in your opinions at all.

However, I will no longer be moderating this particular section, whether it stays or goes!

Welcome 🙂 .. I think you will find that almost all panty girls are discreet and do not put anything on the outside of the envelope unless you order from a site that has to have a customs label on it. But even then the girl can declare it is mens socks or mens underpants etc.
My advice would be if you live in Europe then stick with a European buyer, if you are from Canada, find a Candadian Buyer and if you are US then order from a US site.

However, one can never totally guarantee that your parents wont open the package for you! – maybe prewarn them and say someone online is sending you a cd or something?
