Maybe it’s for the best, it’s a great idea but in practice I can see it’s hard to make work. If a seller says the content of this site is slanderous then what can you do when you don’t know the full story?

I’ve just asked Mozilla and it’s given me a list of wrongs. I know IE is overly forgiving but jeeze, FF is just overly mean! Still I do adore it and haven’t used IE for ages.

Ok, armed with my new info I’ll have a play with things. Thank you Chandie. The only time I have anything to do with CSS is when I push the grey X button to close it, but I’m game for a challenge!

Did you enjoy your time off hun?

No I’m stilll scratching my head over it. If I want a border around a table but no cells showing I’ve taken to making a table for the outside with its borders left on and another table inside that one(for the cells) with the borders off. Problem with that is that Firefox adds strange spaces between the tables and makes them all gappy! I’m substituting one fault with another  :rolleyes: Wish Firefox would sort it  🙁

Often when they resend themselves, they resend via any name that is on your computer, even if you’ve never emailed that person.

Like, you know when you get general emails and it is addressed or cc to many different people at the top? Well it could then read that information and the 10 email addresses located within that one email and resend it to all those people without you knowing. This is how I got it. That could expalin why the other panty girls are on that spiders hit list and why you got it.

It’s so hard to know which mails to open. Outside of panty seliing, if it’s in my junk mail then it stays there but you just never know if it’s a customer or not. If it looks sussed, dump it. Better safe than sorry.

I’m sure all those programs will root it out, little can get through all of those things and your service pack too. I just run them once a week and I’m sorted. Your com runs great once you’re rid of the bugs too. I still get ebay’s phishing mails though, I got one the other day so always check the link before clicking. No, not you guys. I mean sellers spamming their own panty sites and (mainly) auction sites. They spam using their own sites email addresses so they just end up in my bin cos others have reported it as spam. I’m sure when they email their customers using that address that email too ends up in the filter because of the spam they’ve sent out previously. You get me?

My Panty Hog mails now go straight to the bin too, I need to safe list you guys or I don’t ever see them.

Ps: When I previously got this virus it flew off in all directions and it wasn’t my fault. As soon as it gets a connection it’s off so I doubt it’s sent with intent. It’s rarely anyones fault.

It may be a self sending virus Jules, (could be wrong though)  maybe one sent without intention. I’ve had one of these before that “spidered” it’s way through peoples email address books. Often once it’s opened it sets up home in your computer resending itself on to every address on your computer. I don’t think it’s anything to do with panty hog if it a virus, just that maybe it’s spidered off using addresses here. I do get loads of spam from this place too though (DON’t do it sellers!! You just end up in the spam filter!)

I’ve had every damn virus going! Make sure your firewall is up, grab yourself the AVG download (scans all your emails) and Zonealarm (scans everything that tries to enter your computer without permission) and Ad-awre (gets rid of trojans etc) you’ll be sorted. They’re all free downloads that don’t fill your computer with gumf too

Please don’t remove the IP detector. I go to college and could ask the whole class to vote for me on the 50 or so different computers, but I want to do ok on my merit not because I can just get lots of people to vote who don’t know me panty-wise. It’d be a hollow win then wouldn’t it? Imagine winning by one vote, but you got your whole family and oodles of friends to vote everyday….you haven’t really won have you?

I never really thought about getting anyone other than a customer to vote, pretty sad about that actually  :blush: I’m not even voting for myself, god I could do that everyday couldn’t I? I’d much rather not win anything but know that if I get 10 votes that they’re from happy customers. I only want votes from those who think I do a good job or that they think I’m an acceptional panty girl, not for any other reason.

I don’t suggest that there’s a right or wrong way, more that great things come from observing a different angle; ie my black backing being that designers NO-NO but working just fine for me and a few others. The top sites are black, my personality suits black, therefore I’d say the designer that told me not to was wrong in this case.

My site’s an online version of me first and a selling site second. I have an affection for it beyond selling. I’m redoing it now as we speak, I’ve done stuff to it that probably hampers it when it comes to selling but it satisfies my personality, but what the hell, people can get around it easily, it doesn’t break any records for sales but it excels for a new site. I’m proud that my place has personality and I’ve got guys that love that, fuzzy around the edges maybe but I love my beautiful mess. I was told just the other day that my site is “wry and cheeky and strong – I love it!” This particular gent laughed out loud at my…wait for it…TERMS & CONDITIONS page! I think even I could teach my designer friend a thing or two!!

The text is over centered, it’s not all that browser friendly at the mo, but it works because it’s like its owner…beautifully flawed. Sometimes stuff outside of the box works. Maybe I see things differently as my site was never made to be a selling machine, more to just have some fan-fucking-tasticly horny fun!!

Also I no longer take my packages to the post office so rarely add customs stickers. I just do a Cindy, slap a few stamps on it and pop them in the good old red box  😉 They always get to the US fine without, as long as the postage is ok and the local yobs haven’t nuked the box that is  mad

Hey all,

I was told by a web designer that a black background is a cardinal sin and website suicide! My finger must’ve slipped cos it still ended up black!!

I think panty sites are so much more dependant on interactive content than design. It’s like one of my gents said “I don’t like sterile sites, yours is like a familiar pair of old slippers” I hope he meant homely and not old, smelly and full of holes!!  :cheer:

My two fave panty sites defy the rules, are brimming with stuff and are black. Maybe I’m a bit warped like that, I think beautiful things flower from smashing up the rules (like panty girls!) I must be strange too cos I always ignore right sided columns and when I did merchandising I always was taught and worked from left-center. I’m just an odd one though.  :rolleyes:
