As a kid, I read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings several times each.
As an adult, I’ve had less time for fiction. What little fiction-reading time I have, I spend mostly with my son (and yes, his library includes Harry Potter).
But I have had the chance to return to Aldous Huxley’s Island more than once, and Italo Calvino’s If on a winter’s night a traveler.
I will re-read Salman Rushdie’s The Satanic Verses some time soon.

Love2SmellMemberHi Pandora,
You named yourself aptly! You opened the box — and all kinds of unexpected things were hidden inside! 😉
I’ve visited your web site a few times, usually prompted by a recent post, or your profile. I don’t think you’ve updated it since I first looked at it, and I keep hoping to learn more about you. Please let us all know when you update. Thanks!
Love2SmellMemberWelcome back, Sasha, hope all is well. 🙂

Love2SmellMemberWow, Anna, that’s horrible news. 🙁
Stay safe, best wishes to you and your daughter.
Love2SmellMemberCongratulations to both Delene and PantyMan59!

Love2SmellMemberMany happy returns, Serena! :silly:
Love2SmellMemberI would volunteer to be interviewed. I trust that everyone will respect the need not to reveal too much about our personal identities — at least, no more than we already have.
Love2SmellMemberHi there,
Better late than never, a married man weighs in. Whether my remarks will be enlightening, or just confusing, remains to be seen…
Some background first: I met my wife sixteen years ago. One unusual thing about us is our age difference. I’m forty, and my wife is in her middle-fifties. She has been dealing with menopause for several years now. I discovered the world of used panties about seven years ago.
As it turns out, my wife’s panties have never been the most fragrant that I have encountered. However, they have grown weaker and weaker over the years. Why did this happen? I can think of several possible reasons.
The first reason has nothing to do with me. I speculate that hormone replacement therapy might have an effect on her fragrance. But the medications help her sleep through the night without hot flashes.
The other two reasons, unfortunately, possibly DO have something to do with me.
First, she went through a phase several years ago when she got a string of urinary tract infections. Even though we became scrupulous about washing ourselves when having sex, she would still get sick. Even though the infections went away for good years ago, she continues to be obsessed with washing.
Second: I told my wife that I loved the way that she smelled “down there,” and that I had discovered that I could find that heavenly smell in her used laundry. (The panties of other ladies were carefully excluded from this discussion…)
Well, she doesn’t like her own smell. So my remarks encouraged her to wash even more, and to change her underwear sometimes twice a day — just the opposite of what I would have hoped! 🙁
So, do younger ladies have a stronger smell? In my experience, with the one woman who has been in my life for eighteen years, the answer is yes. But as you can see, the situation isn’t completely “natural” and undisturbed. She isn’t leading the same life that she led when I met her. So maybe it isn’t fair to compare who she is now to who she was then.

I personally think that a hairy kitty is more stinky than a shaved one
While I wouldn’t use the word “stinky” — the words “heavenly” or “fragrant” seem more accurate to me — I agree with biglips69. Shaved ladies have a lighter scent.
Love2SmellMemberHey, the guy who posted “What were you doing in 1979” has returned!
I spent the summer of 1989 working at a biotech company. I was one semester away from completing my Bachelor’s degree.
I was single all that year, and for quite some time afterwards. I had gotten burned by two girlfriends in a row, one in 1986-87 and another in 1987-88. The experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Fortunately, the next woman to come into my life, in 1992, was to become my wife. As you know from the “1979” discussion — I already knew her, we just hadn’t noticed each other.

In Australia how we decide your porn name is to take the name of your first pet and the name of the street your first lived on.
That’s how I always heard it was done… 🙂
Using that method: I become Tom Sylvan. Not bad, actually.
Love2SmellMember“12 Monkeys.”
According to IMDB, however, it was released as “Twelve Monkeys” outside of the United States.
Love2SmellMemberI wouldn’t call crying a strength or a weakness. It’s just a fact of life that we are sometimes moved to tears.
In my personal experience: men who tease other men about crying, and other emotional responses, are in deep denial about something.
