I am new to this myself and am really enjoying it. In my opinion though, you will probably be better off setting up a website or a blog, so that people can get to know you a bit better. I wouldn’t give my phone number out publicly if I were you either! There is so much information on here for new sellers, its all really worth reading. There are so many ways that you can (usually unintentionally!) go wrong doing this, and its a good idea to do lots of research before you start.

I looked into using AdultMerchantPay last month, contacted them and got this reply:

Please excuse me for the delay in my reply. It is due to the holidays we had.
Be kindly informed that unfortunately at present we do not have a solution suitable for your business needs. Please excuse us for the inconvenience. We are currently developing a solution intended for start-up and smaller companies which could be suitable for your business but it is not expected to be launched in the following two months. Thank you for your understanding.

They wanted to know my monthly sales volume, so presumably it is for larger businesses only? They have said that they will contact me when their new programme is available, so if I hear anything I will let you know!

I am a bit scared of merchant accounts, they all seem really expensive, especially for a new seller like me. But the payment processor issue isn’t going to go away. I wish there was a simple solution!

If you do find a good merchant account provider, could you maybe let me/us know?

Can I just say, Bill rocks!! I am a new seller and he has been so helpful with getting my seal and verification page sorted out, in my opinion the Panty Trust joining fee is really cheap, and genuine sellers who really care about their business and customers won’t think for a moment about paying $35 for the excellent services that Panty Trust provide for both us and the buyers. Was that girl for real?!

Booo, just tried it and its still not working for me, I will try not to take it personally! I emailed ebare on Friday but haven’t heard anything back yet. I have taken it off my payment options for now until it is sorted anyway.

Ooh, this is interesting. Just had a peek at the website and I just think it is a really odd thing to sell! I don’t think that sniffing a bottle of chemicals made in a lab by some German scientists is quite as satisfying as being sent a pair of knickers worn especially for you, and smelling the amazing scent of a real woman. You also don’t get, as you say, the communication you have with your seller, and the anticipation of receiving the knickers. I personally really enjoy wearing knickers for my buyers and thinking about them enjoying them, and I’m sure that lots of buyers enjoy the thought of me wearing them too! Its about the whole experience. I would never even consider using it on my knickers, that is so wrong. I’m sure most of the girls on here would be horrified at the thought. It could never smell as good as a real woman anyway! Don’t think I will be buying any of the merchandise either, ha ha!! Whats that all about?!

I think it is only for Uk residents, booo… I have got an account with Alertpay though and they say that they are going to expand into localised banks internationally from next month, so that sounds promising. Hopefully then we could use it for payments in the UK and internationally too, and transfer our money into UK accounts? In the terms and conditions it only mentions that you can’t use it for child pornography (gulp!). x

I don’t have a clue what a reciprocal link is, I cheated and used site studio to build my site, it is pretty basic but its easy to set up and (I think) my site is easy to navigate. You have to pay a little bit of money to use it but in my opinion its worth every penny, without it my site would have been, well, totally rubbish really!! I have massive respect for Gemma and co for building their own sites though. Love your site by the way Gemma, really classy. x
