Oops. I would like a job at her hospital though, I never have time to sit down let alone sell panties at work!! I worry enough about work finding out that I sell panties, it is beyond stupid to do it while on duty, on the work computers! There seem to be a lot of panty selling nurses though, maybe they should increase our salary…?

I think unfortunately you just have to deal with being messed about sometimes (although I think that this guy sounds ok, he has paid you after all!). The nature of the items that we are selling means that inevitably some buyers will change their minds or have specific times when packages can and can’t be sent. There will also of course be some timewasters. I have quite a few orders placed that are not followed up with a reply or payment, I don’t bother getting irritated, I just make sure that I really appreciate my reliable, loyal buyers, who make it worthwhile! Don’t put up with any crap, but also don’t get annoyed with every transaction that doesn’t run as smoothly as you would like, or you will end up seriously frustrated!

Sadly there is no VS in the UK. 🙁 I go on the website and drool though… The UK is good for reasonably priced panties I reckon. La Senza, Miss Selfridge and sometimes Primark are all good value without being cheap and nasty, there are good bargains to be had at good old M&S and Debenhams too, in the sales! ‘Luxury’ panties aren’t always luxurious, as Serena says. I have a few pairs from Agent Provocateur, all made in China and Indonesia!!

I have happily worn more expensive knickers for customers (I have only been asked on a few occasions though), but this has to be arranged first. For me there just isn’t enough profit in this to buy really expensive knickers, put them on my site and risk them not selling. I have a variety of items at a range of different prices (the sale price reflects the cost price) on my site but my cheaper knickers have always been by far my best sellers. If there was more demand I would buy more expensive knickers though.

I’m not too sure about this. Quinn, in your original post you stated that you hadn’t happened upon my site, which you then edited to state that you hadn’t happened upon my site ahead of time.

I saw that a few people were offering handkerchiefs under a few different names none of which I really liked, then wankerchief came to mind. It was totally spontaneous and I thought I was a friggin genius to come up with it.

Then like twenty minutes later I stumbled across your wankerchief bit. Needless to say I was bummed that I hadn’t come up with it first, but I was so enamored with the name that I used it anyway.

I’m not convinced Maddy that you came up with the name and then just happened to see it on my site twenty minutes later either.

This is a unique community where we all help each other out, most sellers link to other sellers on their sites, and I often actively recommend other girls to my customers. However, this depends on mutual respect and trust.

It doesn’t bother me whether you use the name or not, it is the principle of stealing content and then not being totally honest about it that I am not too thrilled about. We all know that there are only so many ways that you can sell panties and associated items, and most of them have been done before. The fact that you have looked at other sites before creating yours shows that you have done your research (not all new sellers bother with this!! Just be careful to always respect other sellers here. We are a nice bunch and nobody is out to make any enemies.

Erm, this is exactly the same as something I offer on my site. I was not the first seller to offer this, but you seem to have directly copied the name as well as the item.

I know that all new sellers get inspiration from other sites when they start out, but stealing content from other sites is considered a real no no. Just something to be aware of.

I used to sell my amazon gift certificates on Ebay, you have to be careful though. If you use any type of payment processor like Paypal, the bidder can win, pay, spend the certificate and then file a chargeback, so you lose your money and the certificate too. This has happened to me a couple of times and I didn’t manage to get my money back (thanks a lot Paypal 😡 ). Ebay now state that you have to offer Paypal as a payment option when selling any item, so you are really open to fraud like this, as Paypal doesn’t offer seller protection for electronic gift certificates. It’s all a bit of a hassle really. 🙁
