Avoid using flash for 2 reasons:

-If you run on a 56k modem like myself it might take a while to download the site, and that could result in your viewer getting bored and moving on to the next seller
-Flash programs does not use meta tags, which means  your site  won’t be picked up easily when google searching.

Always do bare in mind that some people still run on dial up, so the lighter the site, the better!

Finally WordPress “Technical Support” is back…
And I truly hope you’ll never have to seek Technical Assistance as this is the level of support you’ll get:

I’m writing to ask for some guidance as to how best to use your blog system.
I use an Apple iBook running OS X 10.4.11 and use a combination of Safari (v.2.0) and Firefox (v.2.0.0.5) browsers.
I have to use this combination as neither browser is able to handle all aspects of your system on their own.
Safari must be used to edit text and Firefox for images, which is frustrating, time-consuming and certainly not fool-proof.
The problem I suffer most often is losing all the formatting on text when returning to edit or add a picture for example.
Can you offer any suggestions as to why I’m experiencing this incompatibility?
Or maybe you could suggest a browser that works best with your coding? (I have also tried Internet Explorer but as this is no longer supported or developed it’s pretty useless!).
Or do you simply not offer compatibility with Macs?

I use Firefox. Camino works but Safari has the upload problems.

Firefox  2.0.0.2 doesn’t allow me to use the visual text editor. The code text editor does allow free-typing but – like the visual editor – doesn’t provide the bar of formatting buttons. Images can be uploaded but are not recognised when sent-to-editor.  Which version do you suggest?  Any significant support welcome.
