Sorry about the featured store problem. There is an update, and this one works  😉

The problem was that the auction script wouldn’t use the credit to pay for the store fee. So, I have put a payment simulator up that will allow you to “pay” the fee without actually paying anything. If that doesn’t make any sense, don’t worry, just go to your store settings again, select the option that says “choose this option” and press proceed. You’ll see the payment method now as the payment simulator, just click that button on the right and you will “pay” the “fee”. Don’t worry if you don’t see your store immediately in the featured area of the front page, none will show there until at least three people have set their stores to featured in the above manner.

As far as the PPal business, no worries on our end as it is handled on the PPal site and simply sends a payment made notice to the Pantybid site so the purchase is shown as paid. However, it is sort of like selling cigarettes so I will make a clear warning present that will be seen before a seller selects that as a direct payment option. It absolutely should not be used for taking payments for panties.

This is now fixed, thank you for pointing it out. However, if you are using that as a method to go back to the home page, you might find it better to click the “home” button in the top menu as clicking the banner by default opens the home page in a new window.

Thank you for the post Redstripe. Just to clarify, Pantybid is the sales area of Panty Hog. To register at Pantybid you just enter a few simple details and you are all set. Register with the same username and password you use here at the Panty Hog main site and it will be that much easier to remember.

I am aware that some people would rather buy at a fixed price as opposed to the auction method. That it why I made certain that sellers can sell using the auction method and or the fixed price method. I would suggest that ladies use both to accommodate those that prefer to buy one way or the other.

As far as picking one and sticking with it. I could not agree more…sell and buy at Panty Hog. 😉

Thanks again everyone for the nice comments, and I’m glad to hear some have already found some success in selling. That is pretty good news since we are in the middle of a world-wide holiday. Hopefully, things will keep moving along after people get back into the normal swing this week.

Kez, you can go to a category, and in the search box change the drop-down to closed auctions and search with an empty key word. This will list all the closed items in that category with the info on pricing for sold items.

Yes, you do need to be registered to view the stores/auctions. The sales area requires a seperate registration from this main Panty Hog site, but it is quick.

Serena, I’m glad you got it sorted, I see your store image now.

Laculotte, hmm I wasn’t aware of that thank you for letting me know. I will look into it, but there isn’t any trick I can tell you at the moment except don’t forget that if you update your store text to re-up your image  :unsure:

The person selling the dvds is one person. He/she is listing them in the professional dvd area. If a movie is listed in that category it is a company selling adult entertainment videos and not meant to suggest that the model in the video herself is necessarily offering it. I didn’t allow commercial videos and toys with the last auction area, it was limited to individual, amateur woman only. With the new sales area I figured that we’d give that trial to see how it goes. An issue I see already though is some of the images. We can’t have sexually explicit(actual pics of sucking, screwing, etc) so I need to address that.

I will look at changing the newest offer listing here to show only new panty offerings.

Apparently, ppal can be used in the USA only for certain items like dvds and new toys but not used panties. I have left the ppal option as a choice when listing an auction for this reason only, however, anyone that uses it does so at their own risk as even the supposed allowed items seem a bit murky.

Thank you all. It hurt erasing the around three thousand accounts and starting over. However, this way we freshen up the member list with hopefully more active sellers and buyers.

Ladies, don’t forget to notice that you can list things for over 30 days and have them auto-relisted if not sold out which works well for stores or items you sell multiples of.  Load ’em up!

Serena, sorry to hear the MAC gave you some grief there. I noticed that you don’t have an image showing for your store. Try to get that one in so it will show instead of the no image in the featured stores area. I’m happy to help if you have trouble.

Hi All,

I have put some notations on the registration form. You can just type the word “withheld” or whatever you like in fields for real name/address, and 555-555-5555 for the telephone number. I actually do this anyway after a person registers. Only the people you have actual transactions with are shown this info (but not the phone number) if you send them an invoice. So, if you don’t want buyers to see your real name and address just type withheld. Actually they wouldn’t anyway because I change it, but if you do it, it saves me some work  😉

It doesn’t matter about whether you choose individual or business, it is your choice and makes no difference as far as the workings. The date of birth is the year only, you don’t need to worry about the day and month.

When you list an auction, most times you’ll want to check the box to have it listed both in the auctions and in your store as well so when someone visits your store, they’ll see those. If you simply want to list items at a fixed price with no bidding however, you’ll want to check “store only”.

Laculotte, if you go to your store main settings, you can upload an image “logo” for your store so that shows in the featured stores area instead of the no image message.
