For security reasons, when a person registers here, they can’t post news until I manually set their account to author status. Security settings (allow/disallow javascript, allow/disallow cookies, etc.), browser types and versions (IE,Firefox, Safari, etc.), plug-in versions (javascript, quicktime, Adobe Reader, etc.) all have an effect upon how Panty Hog works for you. The site itself also throws a few errors that have built up as more and more features have been added over the past couple of years. Again, the type and version of the browser you use determines whether these errors cause a problem for you or if your browser ignores or works around them. I chase these errors down as they are reported so it is important to let me know when you find one. If it works for me, I don’t know there is anything wrong!

Panty Hog is overdue for a cleanup of the code and standardization that should help among other things, the way the site displays in various browsers, for example since I upgraded to IE7 I see a misalignment of the grey menu bar just under the header and the mini chat box is wider than the rest of the left hand column (this wasn’t the case with IE6). Unfortunately, to do it right, I’m going to need to take Panty Hog offline and basically rebuild it from scratch while going over each piece so I’m waiting until I have a few consecutive days where I can work on it uninterrupted.

Hang in there, and remember to IM me if you have a specific problem. There may be nothing I can do for you, but more likely it might be something that can be fixed quickly like checking “author” next to your name instead of “registered”.

Yes, you can link directly from your blog or web page using the url shown in your browser’s address bar when you are viewing the movies. Unfortunately, you will need to use the full url but you can make it look allot better by using a descriptive link. For example, a link to one of your videos looks like this: https://www.usedpantyportal.com/index.php?option=com_gallery2&Itemid=273&g2_itemId=1281&g2_GALLERYSID=31f340af66844e293c85f828b33119fa

If you put this in your html:

You get a link that looks like this:

By the way, you can also stream all of your videos into your store in Second Life.

I’ve actually been working on the Member Pages all this week. There seems to be a problem with the WYSIWYG editor javascript and certain browsers like IE7 that is causing http://www.usedpantyportal.com to be added to the front of all external links. I changed the site editor to a different one last night. This seemed to fix some but not all of the pages. Still working on it, hopefully everything will be straightend out soon.

Yes, even I have been in very sparingly lately due some problems. It is really frustrating to have a list of things you need to get done and the log in screen progress bar moves a couple of inches and then just stops! I’ve found myself saying “fuck it” , closing the window, and working on something else allot lately. Everyone using Second Life is frustrated, it isn’t just us Panty Hoggers. SL says they are working to get things more stable and blaming it on so many users so quickly. They say that they are consistently having 30,000 or more logged in at once and that this causes the tech problems. I don’t know where the 30,000 are hiding, during the last couple of weeks with the tech problems, when I have gotten in, the whole of SL is a ghost town, even the zombie chair campers aren’t sitting around in the usual places.

Anyway, I know they’ll get this worked out, it is worth far too much money to Linden Labs and every day that people are complaining is bad for their business. Once the dust settles, yes, we need to get things going more actively.

No, I guess I’m getting a little old myself. When I say I have to walk the dog I really mean I have to walk the dog.  🙁

My dog is a little nuts. She refuses to go in our yard. Every other dog I’ve had you could just open the door, hook it up to the run and let them in awhile later. This dog could be out in the back yard all day dying to take a leak. She absolutely won’t do it until we put her on the leash and walk her out of the yard.
