This is exactly why our directory can be a pain in the ass 😉 . No sooner do some girls list themselves and the next thing we hear is that they or their site has disappeared. To toot Panty Hog’s horn, there are plenty of opportunities here to get yourself off to a great start. I am surprised sometimes to get emails from ladies asking how they can get noticed, sell some panties, etc. Then I look around and see they’ve never posted a message here, made a member page, added a news story to the front page to introduce themself, etc. Panty selling can be more difficult than it looks. But it doesn’t have to be as hard as some make it…take advantage of all the opportunities to get noticed here!

adminKeymasterTo show a page listing all of your auctions use this code after replacing YOURUSERNAME with your auction username:
http://www.pantybid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.cgi?YOURUSERNAME&1&vs

adminKeymasterTo set something for sale:
There is no script used to set something for sale. All you do is right click on the box you made, then select edit. The edit page will come up. Check the box that says “For sale” and enter the amount you want to sell it for. That’s it. 🙂
You can set anything for sale by right clicking it and checking the box that says set for sale. When the buyer comes along, he right clicks on it and selects “buy”. The lindens instantly transfer to you.
Sloange, Shannon just gave you the floating text script so you’ll find it in the recent tab of your inventory. Just drag that right from your inventory onto the box you made. The item will now have the text floating above it. To change what the text says, right click on the object, select edit, select the content tab, double click the “floating text script”, change the words between the quotes, and click the save button. That’s it.

adminKeymasterSorry Gwen my virus and popup alerts go crazy when I follow that link so I removed it. Feel free to make a member’s page here at Panty Hog.
adminKeymasterGood luck with your first auctions Jessica!
Thank you for your words about supporting the Panty Hog Auctions. However, I want to clarify that my soapbox speech today wasn’t intended to say support Panty Hog. I was trying to say that sellers should use and promote the auctions not for Panty Hog, but for yourselves, for your own benefit. Create a popular place where you can sell and keep every penny that you earn from your hard work.

adminKeymasterHey Krooze,
Someone asked if you would be appearing in your birthday suit this week. Should we announce a time? lmao

adminKeymasterA couple of things about the auctions…They are relatively new and like most new things take awhile to get rolling. I am still surprised to hear from people that they didn’t even realize we had an auction area. From the Panty Hog end, this is the next area I’ll be working on. I’m swamped at the moment with another project, but shortly the auction listings will show prominently on the Panty Hog site to bring the offers more exposure in our busiest areas. Many of the great ladies already paving the way in the auction area are new sellers. Even on the well established auction sites, new sellers often find themselves with no bids for awhile. The very significant difference here is that if you list a featured auction with all the trimmings on a paid auction site and you get no bids, you are screwed. You are out $20 for the featured listing, $6 for the listing fee, $6.95 for the photohosting, $5 for the featured seller picture, etc all said and done you may be out $40 with nothing to show for it. List an auction at Panty Hog including even more features and get no bids, you’ve lost nothing but the ten minutes it took you list (plus you can just push a button and re-list it). There are some ladies there that are selling regularly…they get the word out that they have auctions listed. We do have over a thousand users signed up in the auction area with about 80% of them being men. However, usually there are only about 25 auctions listed at a time. I’ve had emails from the guys complaining there aren’t enough ladies listings to choose from. If that seems contradictory when you see listings without bids, it actually isn’t. The bidders who have emailed made it a point to let me know that it was nothing against the wonderful ladies that have been listing there regularly, it is just a psychological thing, buyers all have different tastes that can vary from day to day, and people get excited when they see a great selection of a variety of women.
The auction area was put up at the request of our members who told me they were put off by the high cost, lack of features, and customer service problems they felt plagued other auction places. It’s there for your use. The auction script, features, and customer service is the best available. We’ve got about 5,500 members at Panty Hog with about half of that being sellers. If even half of these sellers are serious about selling panties, there should be more listings. Frankly, since it is completely free, easier to use, has no photo hosting fees and you can automatically re-list an auction as many times as you like if it doesn’t sell; a seller that sells at auctions but doesn’t list at Panty Hog would have to be a moron because they have nothing to lose except a monthly auction fee bill. The free advertising and exposure that you get by listing an auction, making a store, or using the spotlight feature is worth the time even if you never receive a single bid.
The great thing about Panty Hog, and what makes it so different, is that it is here simply for fun, friendship, and to help the buyers and sellers in the panty community get together. In case you hadn’t noticed, everything here is free. The wizard behind the curtain isn’t sitting here devising a way to take yet another nickel from you. Don’t get me wrong, I take the Panty Hog sites very seriously, but I’m lucky enough to not have to depend on them for any kind of income. The auction area is there for you sellers and buyers not to make money for Panty Hog. Panty Hog was a great place before the auction area was put in, and would still be if it was taken down tomorrow. In other words, it is in the panty sellers’ who sell through auctions best interest to get the Auctions at Panty Hog going. Right now you have a technologically superior, absolutely free auction alternative being handed to you on a platter. All you have to do to take advantage of it is to post an auction and spread the word. We have the interest, the traffic, the search engine ranking, with a little help from everyone, it is entirely possible to make the auction area here just as popular as the established sites. If sellers had that and never had to worry about any fees ever, it could be panty paradise (sorry Cindy 😉 ) If I were a panty seller already successful in auctioning my goods elsewhere, I would be the very first beating down the door to help the Panty Hog Auctions to take off. Think about it, if I have regular bidders that follow me already, what possible sense would it make for me to give someone a significant cut of every sale when I could sell completely free here at Panty Hog? If I wanted to give my money away just to give it away, I’d find a deserving charity.
I see ladies linking to their auctions on paid auction sites in their sigs, all over their web sites, etc. You are essentially giving free advertising to a site that turns around and charges you money for the favor. Like Cindy says, do the same for your auctions here and give it a shot. Let your regular bidders know that you are listing auctions here, they want your stuff, and it makes no difference to them where you sell it. Sell it the usual way and give half of it away to the auction site, or sell it at Panty Hog and keep everything you earned, which way makes more sense to you? To those that think inviting bidders from another site to view your auctions here is somehow unethical, you need to consider that you (the sellers) brought every one of those bidders there yourselves with your links and through word of mouth. In all the years I’ve been involved in the panty community, I have never once seen the big adult auction site advertise. Every seller and buyer there came from an individual’s link, word of mouth, etc. so you aren’t “stealing” from anyone. In fact since word of mouth is exactly how they got their sellers and bidders, it would be pretty hypocritical for them to tell you it wasn’t right.

I would not trust this seller as she uses pictures that are not even her, there are so many fake sellers on that other siteWhat Site? The other auction place? I just want to clarify you aren’t talking about our auction site. Buyers and sellers can breathe easy on our site. The Auctions at Panty Hog are the only auctions with a one strike and you are out rule.
