Cherie,
A HTTP Error 401 – Means “Unauthorized” That is, the user/browser doesn’t have the correct permissions or isn’t logged in to view the page.
Generally this error message means you need to log on (enter a valid user ID and password) somewhere first. If you have just entered these and then immediately see a 401 error, it means that one or both of your user ID and password were invalid for whatever reason (entered incorrectly, user ID suspended etc.).
This can also be caused by screwing up something in your .htaccess files. If you have cPanel, you can add custom error pages without ever having to mess with your .htaccess. If you restore your .htaccess, does the problem go away?

I’ll PM you regarding this.

adminKeymasterWell Ozzy, what do you have to say about Panty Hog’s new layout? If you didn’t know the old one, you can change back to the retro-hog layout from the chooser at the bottom of the right-hand menu on the index.php page. I think the new look helps to make things easier to find. If you disagree, I always appreciate suggestions. Of course, I’d also have to ban you from the site forever.
lmao I’m only kidding

adminKeymasterWow! This makes two today for Used Panty University. Nice job Cherie…but, are you sure they call it a “fictitious name” down in your state? “Fictitious” is usually associated with negative, associations “fictitious plates”, “fictitious name”, “fictitious address”, etc. Here in Ohio, the term DBA (doing business as) is used. Regardless, wherever you are, in the United States, you can register as a business with your state as a sole proprietor, partnership, limited liability company (LLC), limited liability partnership (LLP), or a corporation (Inc.). Most of the people here would likely fall under the sole proprietor category, but you can read all about the differences when you get your registration forms. Just go to google and put in your state name and “register a business” or something similar and your state’s web site pertaining to this should come up in the results. (PK aka “dad” talking) Keep in mind though that registering a business is not something to take lightly. There are costs involved, and the paperwork alerts the state that you are selling something, and tells the “tax man” to be looking for tax returns reflecting this business. Also, registrations of businesses are public record and in many cases, you can look it up right on line. A note of caution about the p.o. too, Amy used a P.O. Box when she was selling. Someone sent her a gift and misprinted the box number in the address. When Amy told the guy the gift hadn’t arrived, he called the post office to check on it. When he told them that it was meant for the name Amy sold under, the Post Office employee told him ” that isn’t the P.O. box’s owner, the P.O. box’s owner’s name is…” . Is that what they’re supposed to do? Maybe not, but it does happen.
On the topic of that panty seller, I really don’t want to say much because some egghead will take it as legal advice. The news article can be found easily in google. Krooze says he knows the lady, so he’d be the best source anyway.

adminKeymasterNot trying to be sneaky, just checking to see if people do actually read what’s new. You win the prize today Leatherz. :cheer:
Yes, I must admit I have a problem. I don’t have enough time as it is but I can’t help myself…I love adding new “toys” for all to play with. 😛

adminKeymasterGreat to hear that you fuddy-duddies can see the Hog in the style you prefer. 😉

adminKeymasterI’ll privately work on this with WahTuska because it seems to not be a problem for most. If anyone else is experiencing a similar problem, please let me know.

adminKeymasterCherie and Jazzy did you change your view to Retro Hog then? Krooze have you checked out the Manly Blue developed especially for those who don’t like pink? 😉

adminKeymasterHello WahTuska:
Had you been getting replies notices and then they stopped, or were you never able to get them? Have you set up your email inbox to always accept mail from “support@usedpantyportal.com”?

why fix what’s not needed
let’s go back to normal? please. thank you.
Jazzy……………………………………………..Hi Jazzy,
Actually the periods of outages of the site over the past two days have nothing at all to do with the visual/layout changes. It was caused by a problem with a program on the computer that runs Panty Hog, and would have happened regardless of anything going on at Panty Hog. Unfortunately, a computer that will never have a problem doesn’t seem to exist yet. Big commercial services like eBay, MSN, Google, etc. are able to spend huge amounts of money to keep their sites on multiple servers (computers) so that when one goes down (and it will), the other can take over. Even millions of dollars to spend doesn’t always save you though, they’ve all had “famous” outages. Travelocity’s site recently went down for several days when all of their servers and back up servers went down all at once! The one thing that you can always count on though is that Panty Hog will always come back as soon as it can.
As far as the design/layout changes go, Panty Hog will soon be one-year old, and it was time for a freshening of the site. People, ladies mostly, let us know that they would like to see some brighter colors here. Also, Panty Hog contains an awful lot of different areas and features. Keeping it organized so that people can quickly find what they are looking for becomes more difficult with every addition. We actually saw a post in another forum where a person said they couldn’t visit Panty Hog because there was so much going on it gave her a headache. The new look seems to make it easier to see what is available. I understand of course that some people don’t like pink, or liked Panty Hog just as it was. Look at my site update post to see what I think should make everyone comfortable.

adminKeymasterIt is taking a little break while we are clearing some server issues today. It will return with the option of another color too. 🙂

I don’t come into PHOG for a day and when I get here it’s all… er… um… PINK!!!!!! Ok, what happened? I don’t handle change very well and this has me out of my element!?? :laugh:Hey Krooze,
Ever heard of getting in touch with your feminine side? lmao Some little birdies told me the site’s colors were too drab. So we’ve gone to the other extreme…shocking pink. We’re still playing around a bit, and will likely offer you the option of choosing which color scheme you want with a click of your mouse. Hang in there. Besides, it’s not pink, it’s pig skin colored.

Hey i will put a pic up if you tell me how to do it.? I really need some honest opinions on pic styles etc. And hey im thick skinned i can take it lolAfter you log in, click on the Hot or Not link in the “Panty Pleasures” menu on the left-hand side of this page. This will take you to the Hot or Not screen. Look on the right of this screen for the “Utilities” heading, there you will see a link that says “add/submit photo”. Just click that link, use the browse function that will come up to upload a photo from your computer, click finish, and your photo will be up.
If someone is really going to use it, I think I’ll take the toilet picture out. Sorry asseater.

adminKeymasterI know a few are wondering, and yes, more have been nominated. We’re still waiting on bits and pieces needed to make their nomination notices complete. The nominations page should be updated soon.
