Hi Jazzy,
Were you able to access Panty Hog with the AOL browser in the past? There is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to access Panty Hog with using the AOL browser that I know of. On the other hand, AOL is notorious for screwing up people’s ability to get email, and their browser has caused issues with viewing certain sites over the years. AOL is always “tweaking” their programs which often ends up censoring email and web sites that they don’t believe you should be seeing. For what it’s worth, my advice would be to always surf with either IE, or better yet, Firefox, to make sure that you are able to see all sites that you visit as they were intended to be seen.

RSS feeds use a programming language called XML, and allow you “broadcast” the content of another site on a page on your site using just a single url, or “feed” from the 1st site. When the site providing the feed updates or adds content, what’s on your site does too. For example, if you wanted to have a “Panty Hog” page on your site, you would click one of the links found under Syndicate Panty Hog on the left hand side of the front page. You would then take the url that you would get by pressing that link, and put it into the feedreader on your site. Here is a link to a sample of what it would look like:

You can set the feed to show as much or as little detail as you like.

The other neat way to use the RSS feed is to use it with a news reader on your computer or through a service like myYahoo. I am guessing that this is what Leatherz is doing. Then, when you check your mews reader, you’ll be able to see what has been recently added to Panty Hog or the forums without having to come to the Panty Hog site directly. A google search for “rss reader” will give you plenty of options to get a freeware rss reader, or a script to use it on your web site. Still glad you asked?  :ohmy: :cheer:

Hi All,
I believe I have fixed the ecard feature in the gallery. Try it out now by sending one to yourself. After you’ve seen how it works, let me your thoughts as to whether it should stay or go.

I wanted to respond to a couple of points brought up by Cindy and Pink regarding copyright and ownership of photos. A copyright is not a trademark or servicemark, you are the copyright holder of any photos of yourself or written material that you write. You can’t “lose” the copyright until and unless you give the copyright away or sell it.
You have likely seen a photographer’s photo release or a statement on a web site that says something like- “All entries/submissions become property of blah blah when submitted”. In these cases, you are giving the copyright to the photographer, web site owner, company, etc. Panty Hog has not included any such clause in our terms of service. That is, if you post your photos or submit a story or news item to the Panty Hog site, you retain the copyright. These things do not become the property of Panty Hog, and they will never be used outside of the purpose for which you submitted them. You can ask to have them removed at any time, and we will never do anything with them without your permission.? O0

Actually, when an ecard is sent, it simply emails a link. No photo is sent. The person who gets the ecard gets a message like “Hi Joe just sent you an ecard, see it at (link) “. When the person clicks the link, they are taken to the gallery, and instead of the section with the ratings and comment below the photo, the sender’s message is shown. It is really just a fancy version of the? “tell a friend about this website” script. In other words, the email is just a link that basically says “check this out”
So, as far as viewing the photo, it is exactly the same as if the person browsed your gallery. It is unfortunately an all or nothing option at this time, the option can’t be set individually. If people still have concerns I will turn the option off. On the other hand, Leatherz just told me it isn’t working anyway!? :cheer: :cheer: (figures!)

Wow! The photo gallery area is growing with more super hot photos. Thank you ladies!  JO If you haven’t noticed, you can mouse over the gray icons at the top of a photo and add your favorite photos to your “lightbox” which is basically a personal favorites area, and or send someone a postcard with the photo (the photo never actually leaves the site). These are both pretty neat features, give them a try.  🙂

Something similiar to this is actually reported to be taking place in Japan. For a while, school girls were able to to sell their panties to a panty broker who would in turn sell them to panty fans through a store or through vending machines (yes, vending machines). Selling minors’ underwear was then ruled illegal (good idea) and the school girls’ fun money dried up. Now, it is said that the girls have set up elaborate text messaging services where the end result is that the buyer meets the girl someplace, gives her the cash, and she whips off her goods right there and hands them over. Sounds just a bit dangerous to me.

Hi All,
The gallery component has a voting and comment feature that I currently have turned off because I thought some might shy away from putting their photos up for comment. Personally, I think they’re all hot so anyone who made a negative comment would have to be crazy. What do you think? Turn on the voting, or leave it as is?

Yes, none from you. However, I don’t want to give the wrong impression, having the notices delivered to your email is very useful, I use it myself, it’s just that when you reply, you need to use the reply link given in the body of the email message instead of just hitting reply from your email program.

It is a new feature that I just installed Saturday night. I thought it was a pretty interesting component. Not only can you store links to Panty Hog pages, but also links to anywhere. I’m using it myself, and I hope others will find it useful. If anyone has any questions about it, just let me know.

I just checked it out, and saw that somehow the permission for a rss related file had changed on the server. I set it back where it needed to be, and you should have no problem now. I’m glad to hear that someone is using them. RSS is a really neat thing, and I hope others will check them out.  O0
