I don’t really know what to advise.  I’ve had customs nail my ass for duties/taxes when people have mailed me GIFTS.  mad  You’re not supposed to have to pay for gifts, dammit!  I guess the border can be pretty tight, not sure if this is fairly recent (e.g. due to terrorism, m.ad cow disease, foot-and-mouth, etc.) or if it has always been this way.  (Although someone once sent me a choccie package from the UK and it arrived no problem.  smt )

I’d say between the U.S. and Canada, mail should arrive within 1-3 weeks.  It can be maddeningly unpredictable, unfortunately.

I don’t have experience shipping to Morocco specifically, but from my travels I’ve found that if a postal system is suspect, you might as well not bother.  I’ve made friends with locals in other countries and offered to send them packages when I got home (e.g. picturebooks of Canada, maple syrup candies, etc.) and they said they would never receive whatever I sent.  :cry:  Postal workers might respect postcards sent FROM their country but would help themselves to any parcels coming INTO the country.  (I’ve encountered these problems in various continents, and not just countries of any one religion.)

You may just have to tell your Moroccan dude that he’s out of luck, Cindy.  🙁 😥

A girlfriend of mine who has very heavy periods (used to wear double tampons) has a Mooncup and loves it.  It could be very cost effective if you spend a lot on pads and tampons.  (Myself, I actually prefer the cheap maxi pads, and since I’m on the pill and don’t get heavy periods, my monthly tampon/pad bill is peanuts.)  I have tried “Instead”, which is a disposable version…  I thought it was quite clever (but my flow just isn’t heavy enough to really bother with it.)

And believe me Anna, this is the internet…  Somewhere out there Mooncups ARE someone’s cup of tea!  :cheer:

I didn’t realize they had lost their merchant account – what’s the story behind that?  (And will they be getting credit card functionality back in the future?  Otherwise, they are basically what Ebanned has said Madpay could be – no credit cards, but bank and mail-in.)

A while back I dug through the website and saw that you got rewarded for referrals IF the person you referred transacted at least $250 in purchases with AlertPay (i.e. AlertPay made money off them.)  Not very lucrative for the referrers, but I can accept a set-up like that.  However, if they are not rewarding referrals at all, I wouldn’t be very happy about that (especially if they are misleading people, saying that they do/will.)

Alas, IMO they still work better than anything else available, right now (except for cash in the mail.)
