For me, I had one almost sale. I got a notification that someone bought some stocking, but recieved no payment/contact from buyer after 5 days (I sent him email 2 times to the address he provided), so put it back up for sale to someone else. But other than that, nothing yet.
But that’s just me, my site’s been slow since I opened the last week of December, but that’s still not very long to be up and running. Hope that answers your question!tastykacieMemberThanks so much for the advice. I haven’t written back yet, and am curious to see what more people have to say.
tastykacieMemberFor initials, I just have them send it to K.P. then my po box.
Hope that clears it up for you.tastykacieMemberThanks. It seems like I’m the only one that has encountered this problem. I think I’ll stick w/ initials just in case they decide to be crabby there some more. It hasn’t posed a problem yet.
tastykacieMemberWell, I haven’t heard back from the guy at all. So I don’t know what his deal was. He never asked for anything free, just tried to get some info, like location and phone and full name. I politely refused, and that was the end of it. Probably for the better, I’d say.
tastykacieMemberYeah, that and it takes awhile for an account to get set up. That was the reason I decided to try this b/c that way it’s directly between me and the high bidder. Not sure if I’d recommend it though, there hasn’t been too much interest. But there’s still a few days left, so who knows.
tastykacieMemberThanks for that tip about the mirror. I don’t have a timer right now, just a roommate who I can convince with alcohol. So we’ve been doing the basic front and back shots. But I’ll try to vary in the future. I’ll have to look into how much timers cost.
tastykacieMemberSorry for not putting up a current post. But I went back to the post office and fortunately, there was a different guy working. I just gave my info and got signed up. I’ve been able to get mail addressed to my initials just fine. So, I agree with the posts who say it was probably just a crabby guy that was working before. Good luck to you!
tastykacieMemberHi Morgan
I just got a p.o. box at the start of this month and it was $19 for 6 months. They’re very strict on the 2 forms of ID required to open one, they have to be state or government issued, but aside from that, it’s been fine. Hope that helps.
KacietastykacieMemberThat’s a really good idea with the permanent marker thing, especially because he never specifically asked for certain items off of my site. I also doubt I would actually receive a money order, but on the off chance I do, I just wasn’t sure what to do. I guess I’ll just see if he replies, then tell him I’d like to write his name on the items and see what he says.
I’d really hate if he was legit to not fill his order, but the odds of him being legit seem slim. Well, we’ll see if he writes back at all….tastykacieMemberOkay, so I heard from him again today, saying he wants to send me a money order and needs my name, address, and phone #. I wrote back that he can only send me a money order with the name left blank, my po box, and sorry, don’t give out phone to anyone.
I told him to let me know if he sends something, so I can expect it. So what if something does show up? Would it be stupid for me to fill the order? Or can I fill it and then just warn auction sites, like you suggest.
The only reason I’m considering is because I know it would cover my start up fee and then some, which would be awesome. Especially when I don’t have any sort of client base yet. I realize it would take a month to fill, but I’m not exactly busy right now.
Don’t know what to do about this.tastykacieMemberThanks for the advice. Since I’m new, I’ll only wear an item if I get payment first, just because I don’t have any trusted purchasers or anything yet. Yeah, I told him how much it would cost and to get me the payment and I’d start preparing his orders. Haven’t heard anything yet, wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t hear at all, I guess. Oh well.
I guess I just had some bizarre mental image of him doing something crazy with my panties, like making a panty ladder to escape prison or something. Overactive imagination.
Thanks all!tastykacieMemberJust wanted to update without starting a new link. I just changed my site so you can see the actual products I’m selling. So there’s lots more pics of me in panties and such. Thanks to everyone that advised me to change it. I hope you all enjoy and maybe even contact me……
I should be done with updates on the site for a bit, or at least until I get another idea.tastykacieMemberHmmm. It might’ve been the same guy. His name started with a B, but no large fonts. Yeah, it would be a nice start if it was a real request, it would pay for my start up right there. But it just seems weird.
tastykacieMemberThanks so much for the advice. I was wondering if that was the way to go. I’ll probably redo my site this weekend to include the actual items I’m selling and leave a note about special style requests.
I’d looked around at this site a lot before I started my own, so I did get a lot of pointers and knew it would take work to get it going. Glad I decided to start it when I was on winter break! I do have a digital camera, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to get some pics. I’m still learning which poses work for the item to show it off and still be sexy, so I probably take double the pics I need just in case some aren’t that great.
I’m so glad I asked because I guess I didn’t realize the actual item pic was so important as a preview. -
