Panty Trust Warns of Phishing Scam
August 6, 2007. Panty Trust is warning members of the used lingerie community and women in general of an active phishing campaign designed to mislead women into believing that they are being "recruited" by Panty Trust. Panty Trust has received copies of emails and incident reports of women, so far primarily in Finland, being contacted by someone claiming to be an outside sales representative for Panty Trust. The emails encourage women to send money along with their photos and a pair of worn panties to a Finland location.
Please be aware that the person sending the phishing emails is in no way associated with Panty Trust and Panty Trust encourages anyone that receives an email of this kind to report it to Panty Trust along with the entire email including message headers if possible. Panty Trust does not employ outside sales representatives and does not ever contact women asking them to join Panty Trust. The only legitimate method for joining Panty Trust is for a used lingerie seller to contact Panty Trust directly through their web site.
