Happy Holidays, Site Updates, and a Special Opportunity
First off I’d like to wish the entire used panty community a very Merry Christmas! I know that not everyone celebrates Christmas, but even if you don’t, the very best of wishes for happiness, health, good friends and family go out to you. While it is said every year at this time, and doesn’t ever seem to come true, let’s hope once again that the coming year will find peace in the world.
As the year comes to a close, and the Used Panty Portal marks its first full year of existence, I want to make certain to thank each and every one of you who has visited, contributed, and added to the community. When I sat down just over a year ago and faced a blank page on my computer, I had an idea of what I wanted the Used Panty Portal to look like, but what it has become has surpassed my expectations. There is no secret to the Used Panty Portal’s success; it is simply all due to the great work of you, the members of the used panty community. Creating a place and atmosphere where any adult who has an interest in used panties can feel comfortable and welcomed is an awesome accomplishment that each and every member has taken part in. Site updates:
The Golden Panty Award. Voting has been going very well, and should result in an exciting finish. I know that some have been agitated because the date of the awards has been kept a secret. There really are logical reasons for this. However, rest assured that the date and time will be officially announced by January. Most know that it has been decided that a Sunday will allow the greatest number of people to participate in the awards ceremony. Sunday, in January, narrows it down a bit for those who don’t like to wait.
Member Photo Galleries. We’ve had a problem with people continuing to upload sexually explicit photos to the gallery area. In some cases, they?re back up as soon as I delete them. No photos should appear there that depict actual or simulated sex or masturbation (this includes touching or holding yourself ?open?), inserted toys, or focusing specifically on the genital area (i.e. close-up puss shots). The gallery area has been a great success, and we get plenty of appreciative email from buyers who tell us how nice the feature is. We thank all who have taken the time to add to the gallery, but for legal reasons, we need to keep the sexually explicit stuff out of there. Most ladies seem to like the fact that they can add and delete as they like inorder to manage their galleries without interference. However, we are unfortunately, very close to being forced to limit access. I think everyone would like to see the gallery stay as it is, so please try your best to keep with the ?glamour shot? idea. I?m always happy to answer any questions anyone has regarding this.
Panty Stories. Cut off panty stories have been frustrating both readers and authors. All of us love to read the panty themed stories that are submitted. It is hugely disappointing for everyone if the story gets cut off mid-way. The problem that has been occurring is that authors have been attempting to post the whole story in the summary section. The summary section is just for a brief synopsis of what the story is about and only allows a limited number of words. The actual story should instead be put in as a chapter. This also allows you to come back and add a new chapter to the story in the future if you feel like it. Front Page News Items. Your news is one of the most important features of the Used Panty Portal. The community looks to the front page to learn what?s new in the used panty world. Anyone, buyer or seller, is welcome to share their news about new items they have available, special deals they?re offering, a new auction they?re holding, a new site, a story, review, or even a simple announcement of who you are and how you got started in the fetish. Personally, I think the news area is very under used. The news items appear on the front page where every visitor to the site sees it, if you?re are a seller, you simply cannot buy better targeted advertising at any price (there is no cost by the way), and the googlebot comes by loyally once per day and gobbles up whatever appears in the news area. You can submit a news story every day if you wanted to, and I will guarantee that it will be read by people interested in used panties, and indexed in google. However, before you submit a news item, please do review the simple instructions that we have published to make sure your news appears quickly. As noted in the instructions area, news items should be written in plain text. When news is submitted in 36-point type in some off the wall font, it will be automatically resized and set to Arial font. If you have submitted a news item typed in all capital letters however, it has to be hand edited. Actually, not just edited, but completely retyped into normal text. If this has to be done, it necessarily is done as time permits which may delay your news item greatly. Please also take note that news items should be ?newsy?. For example, ?Sarah announces a new panty auction? with some details added. We continue to get news item submissions that literally contain one line, something like: ? This is Sarah, I sell panties, here is my email address?. While we?ve published items like that in the past, you are likely to see them denied in the future because members have told us that they want substance. Special Seller Opportunity. We will be announcing an exciting new concept and service shortly. In preparation, we are looking for one lucky panty seller to serve as an example of how the service can be used. This is a great opportunity for a panty seller, as they will have the full benefit of being the center of attention while the service is rolled out, and will be set up to make panty sales from the get go. This opportunity will be available to all panty sellers when the service opens, however at the moment, we are looking for only one. In order to be eligible, you must be a used panty seller, have already signed up, or be willing to sign up to accept Alertpay online payments, and agree to keep the details of the new service completely secret until after our official announcement. In an effort to really help out a seller, we are especially interested in offering this opportunity to someone that either does not have a web site, or if they have a web site, does not have a shopping cart integrated with their site.
