Hi Serena, I’m in a pickle, I am a new seller and I only sold 3 pairs of panties. The first sale went fine, the second didn’t, the third I don’t know yet. Basically my second buyer told me he didn’t like my panties and he’s asking if there is anything I can do. He’s not being nasty or anything, but I don’t know what to say to him. It’s never a good feeling when a buyer has a bad experience with your product. But instead of getting frustrated, simply apologise, use this experience to learn from it, and do right by him if you can.
One thing that buyers love is unexpected surprises, this is because the vast majority will always end up with a disappointing ‘ha well’ when complaining. As a business girl, you want to make your buyers feel special, but mistakes do happen and your buyer will always forgive a sincere mistake.
The first impulse is to offer your buyer a next-purchase discount. This is fine, but it implies that he can only take advantage of the discount if he purchases another product from you, which at this stage he may not wish to do. Maybe consider an alternative to the discount and offer your buyer a replacement pair of used panties.
Of course it all depends on the nature of the complaint, if a buyer is complaining about your scent not being ‘sweet’ or ‘strong’ enough, then a replacement isn’t going to fix this.
